Welcome from the Chairmen
In more ways than one, 2014 will be a year to celebrate major economic and historic events in Panama. The year marks the 100th anniversary of the Panama Canal’s completion, and, with the Canal expansion project, the country is gearing up for greater volumes of trade and traffic, which will have a substantial impact on its burgeoning economy. With Panama positioned at such a significant juncture, the Organizing Committee of the Wharton Global Forum Panama is delighted to present the theme of this event: Connectivity.
At a time when the ability to connect people, technologies, and economies is essential for success in international business, the Wharton Global Forum Panama presents an opportunity for Wharton alumni and friends to engage in thought-provoking dialogue. The Forum’s panels, master classes, and keynote lectures will feature industry thought leaders and Wharton’s renowned faculty, who will discuss connectivity in a variety of contexts as it relates to the global marketplace. The Forum will also offer networking sessions, through which attendees can exchange ideas and build new connections.
As Co-Chairmen of the Organizing Committee, we encourage you to join us for this dynamic, one-of-a-kind event.
